Fall Basic Grey Ambrosia Mini Album Class

HI!! It's that time of year; the mornings are cooler and the days are getting shorter. To celebrate this time of year, I came up with a fun little mini album using Basic Grey's Ambrosia collection and "Butterfly Garden" by Samantha Walker Unity Stamps. Uniquely Me Mini Album

Long time no see! So much has been going on in the last couple of months this poor blog has taken a backseat to the rest of my life. But since Ivy at Scrappin' Happily Ever After has been on my back I thought I'd update you with an upcoming class (love you Ivy!:)

This pretty little album is MDF and so much fun to make! We'll be doing quite a few techniques in class. We're stamping, painting, glimmer misting and more! Garden Variety Mini Album Class

Ivy spotted this FUN paper and just had to order it for the store. I'm so glad she did, it's so adorable! This mini album has some fun techniques thrown in. We'll be doing a stamping technique called scratch-n-sniff. All of the strawberries you see in the album smell like strawberries! We'll also be making our own envelopes, a mini accordion book and a mini scrapbook page(which I forgot to get a picture of:)). The first class is on Thursday, April 29 at 10:30 AM. Cost is $30. Flower Frenzy

Normally I like to post before I teach a class, but I guess it's better late than never on this one! We had this class yesterday and will be repeating it on Thursday, April 1 at 10:30 AM. In honor of the Flowertown Festival here in Summerville over the weekend, Ivy challenged me to come up with a class on making paper flowers. Some of them look difficult, but I promise you they're not, well for the most part! ;) We're making 3 each of 5 different flowers. For those of you who took the Love layout class a while back, we're doing the coffee filter flowers too. The Lollipop flower card looks a little different in class, we had a certain "customer" that said the flowers looked a little questionable, to quote her exactly "It looks like Charlize Theron's Dress from the Oscar's with the lopsided boobies!" We're doing our first Tween/Teen Class at Scrappin' Happily Ever After. I used the Teen Angst Paper line from We R Memory Keepers. What teen can't relate to this line with names like "Hardcore" and "Flirt". I also used a Fancy Pants Designs clear stamp set called "In My Words". This mini album/journal is very grungy and fun! I've got birthdays on the brain! Riley's was February, Ethan's was yesterday and Ivy at Scrappin' Happily Ever After has 2 kids celebrating this month too! I had no choice but to come up with a Birthday Card Class. We'll be making a Welcome Baby, Kid, Feminine, Masculine and of course a Christmas Card. The ladies in my neighborhood had an ornament and cookie exchange this past Friday night. Being the type of person that I am, I made my ornament. I found a picture someone posted on their blog (forgive me, I don't remember where I found it) and decided to whip one up. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I took it up to my LSS to show Ivy and she told me that I just had to teach a class on how to make it. If you like it, I'll be teaching the class at Scrappin' Happily Ever After on Sunday, December 13 at 1 PM. The cost is $25, you can call Ivy at 843-261-2665 to make your reservation. I think that 4 or 5 of my ladies that came to class today already signed up and space is limited. We'll be making the whole kit and caboodle, the box, bow, double-sided ornament and a gift card. I have found a new giftable craft that I just love and is so much fun to make for a mom-to-be! I've seen diaper cakes on the internet for a while, but I wanted to try my hand at one and I love how it turned out. I'm also branching out and making these for purchase. They're completely customizable with a theme or can be plain - blue or pink, as well as yellow, green or neutral (cream and brown) for those moms who are waiting to hear "it's a boy/girl" in the delivery room. I have to track down the pictures from the baby boy version I did back in June, but for now I'll leave you with the pictures of the baby girl version I did for my dear friend Deana's baby girl.

As of August 1st, I'm officially not with Stampin' Up! any longer. It was tough decision, but I decided is was best for me at this time to drop my demonstratorship. I'm not going to stop showing projects that I'm working on, or doing video tutorials (which I've really slacked on), rather I'm going to start showing all of my projects, whether they're papercrafting or sewing, whatever I'm working on, I'm going to share it here. I love what Stampin' Up! has to offer as far as products and quality, and if you're still interested in purchasing products from Stampin' Up! you can visit their website and search under find a demonstrator and they'll give you the names of demonstrators in your area. I am starting on a new business venture, but I'll go into more detail on that when it's official.

will be stuck on things that are almost impossible to be removed. My 2 year old daughter loves to help me when I'm "working" on projects. I don't have a designated stamping area in our home, I stamp and scrap at the kitchen table. I leave my supplies out when I'm mid-project so that I don't forget what I'm doing. Little did I know that she was getting into my stuff. She took a whole sheet of Stampin' Dimensionals and stuck them on the wall, my paper trimmer and herself. They came right off of her, but they're still stuck to the wall and my paper trimmer. We have flat paint and it's pulling the paint off the walls. As for my paper trimmer, I've soaked the dimensionals in water, windex and tried scraping them off with my Pampered Chef scraper and they're still stuck. I don't want to use anything abrasive on my paper trimmer, I still need to be able to read the measurements. And as for our dimensionals, when they stick, they're stuck!

I have 2 projects to share. They're pretty much the same concept, just in different form. The first one is a card that I made for my neighbor. I found some egg shaped playing cards at the Target $1 spot and used them as a template to make my little egg chicks and bunnies.

It's an accordion card and here it is closed.

I made this little basket out of some 6x6 Darling Dots paper left over from Sale-a-Bration. The colors in this paper scream spring and Easter! The eggs are covered in the same paper.

The little bunny is from the Eight Great Greetings stamp set in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I stamped him in Chocolate Chip ink and colored it in with markers and punched him out with the new Scallop Oval punch, also available in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I folded up the card and used the basket as my envelope to deliver the card to my neighbors for Easter.

This is the 2nd project. I made this banner last year. I saw one similar in PaperCrafts Magazine and had to try my own version. The one in the magazine was done with wood ovals. Once again, mine is with giant egg shaped playing cards from either Target or Wal-Mart, I don't remember which one!?!? I covered the cards with paper and decorated them. I put eyelets in the corners and tied them together with all different kinds of ribbon. The paper on these is DCWV from the Spring Stack 2008.

KWerner Color Inspiration 48

I've been a real slacker lately. My creative juices just stopped flowing. When I checked Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration, I loved the color combo so much, I just had to make a card. Here's what I came up with. It uses DSP and a Rubon from the Holiday Happenings bundle from the Fall-Winter 2008 Catalog, but I thought it was perfect for this card. This was my first time dying a flower from the Pretties Kit. I squeezed some Baja Breeze reinker in a paint tray and laid my flower down to absorb the ink. It was so dark and I really didn't like it, so I took it to the sink and ran it under some cold water. I rinsed off most of the color and then dried it with my heat tool. I put the rubon on some Chocolate Chip cardstock and punched it out with the 3/4" circle punch. I thought the center of the flower really needed something else besides just the punch, so I pulled out my clear buttons and decided to layer my punched circle on top. I really like how it turned out.

I always like to make my hostesses a little something to say Thank You for booking a workshop or class with me. I downloaded the template for the box from the demonstrator side of the Stampin' Up! website (a huge perk for being a demonstrator), printed it on some Rose Red cardstock, cut it, scored it, and tied it together with some linen thread. Super easy project, and super cute! I put some skittles in one of our cello bags and tied it with a little ribbon.

Four Square Stamp Set

I was challenged by a hostess to come up with a card that could be customized for more than one occasion. Not everybody wants to make just a Thank You card or a Happy Birthday card. Well, this is what I came up with. I used the Four Square Stamp Set, I never really looked at it in the catalog before, but I'm so glad that I have it now. It covers quite a few occasions. I took some of the idea for the card from the catalog and tweaked it a bit. For demonstration purposes I stamped and layered all of the sentiments separately and put them on velcro so that they could be interchanged so the class-goers could see exactly what it would look like with the stamp that they chose. Most of them chose the Hi. I'll be posting the other projects over the next couple of days, stay tuned. Supplies:

My daughter turned 5 today! Where does the time go? We had a pretty busy day starting off with oatmeal with sprinkles, with a candle and a Happy Birthday song. Next was lunch, chicken casserole and rice, with a candle and a Happy Birthday song. Then after my husband got home we headed to McDonald's (Riley's choice) and followed it with cupcakes, with candles, a Happy Birthday song and presents. She's really into Barbie now and she got a Barbie house. I'm so excited about her really getting into Barbie, I think I played with Barbie until I was 12. I'm looking forward to many hours of playing and dressing and redressing Barbie, Ken, and all their friends. The only downfall to the Barbie house was the 50 bazillion stickers, ok it was only 51, but still, that's a lot of stickers! Happy Birthday Riley!

Not that you asked

But I'll show you anyway. In my last post I mentioned that I gave my new neighbors a tower of brownies. Well, here's what it looks like. I totally swiped the idea from Erin Lincoln from the Creating Keepsakes message board. The paper is from DCWV. It's 12 sheets of 12 x 12 folded and made into boxes. If there's paper folding involved I'm all over it. Guess that has to do with living in Japan from preschool thru 2nd grade and having to take culture classes. I was all about the origami. I made up the boxes and tied them up with some pretty green ribbon. I also made a couple of the boxes with baby themed paper for my stepmom to give as a baby gift. Inside those boxes was an outfit with socks. So cute, but of course I didn't take a picture of that one. I made a little card to go with it. Keep in mind I gave this to them in October, hence the fall theme.

I used the house stamp from ABC Images for the card. I have to tell you that ABC Images is, hands down, my favorite stamp set from Stampin' Up! You can come up with so many different projects with this set, from teacher gifts to New Baby, and everything in between.

Happy Birthday Deana!

Today is my friend Deana's birthday. Happy Birthday Deana!! I wanted to make a fun little card for her, because she's a fun little woman. She's the tiniest person I've met in a long time. Not only is she a friend, she's also my neighbor. We live in a brand new neighborhood, my family was literally the first family to move in and we were by ourselves for over 3 weeks before anyone else moved into the neighborhood. There are only a few houses at the front of the development, and Deana, her husband and their sweet little boy moved in just 2 doors down. Of course I did the neighborly thing and baked some brownies and made a card to welcome them. After that we just hit it off and Thank the Lord, I've been praying for someone just like her, we're alike and SOOO different that it works. She's visiting family in Texas right now and I can't wait for her to come home!
As for the card, I loosely based it on a card that was in Stampin' Success, the magazine that Stampin' Up! demonstrators get every month. There are always very cute and cutting edge projects in the magazines, so I altered a card from the magazine and made it my own.

Valentine Mailboxes

I am in love with the little mailboxes that you can get in the dollar spot at Target. I think I bought about 20 of them. These 2 are for my son's teachers for Valentine's Day. I used some Riding Hood Red DSP to cover them and the Love You Much stamp set to embellish. I printed a little box (available to demonstrators on the Stampin' Up! website) on RHR cardstock and cut it out, stamped and embellished and filled it with chocolate. The little box fits perfectly inside the mailbox. I tied some RHR striped ribbon around the flag and TADA, a cute little gift. I'll help Ethan with is cards and pop them inside and there you have it, a super cheap, super cute teacher's gift.

Lollipop Holder

These little lollipop holders are my son's Valentine's for his kindergarten class. I was trying to think outside the box and this is what I came up with. I got my measurements by measuring the lollipop itself. The ones I used are Jolly Rancher lollipops. The bucket that I have them in in the picture above came from Wal-Mart last year. I just took my crop-a-dile and punched 2 holes in the front and threaded some Riding Hood Red Striped Ribbon through and tied a bow. I love my crop-a-dile for projects just like this. That little booger can cut through almost anything.
My youngest decided to join me for the last part of the video and I didn't have time to reshoot, so this is reality. It's actually how I stamp almost every time I stamp, with her in my lap "helping" me. I was thinking that I might try to reshoot at nap time, but no dice on a nap today, so you get it Raw and Uncut! This card is a little 4x4 card using Bella Rose DSP. I punched the scallop square with my scallop edge punch. The video for this technique is here I tied some Kiwi Kiss Striped Ribbon under the scallop square and then made a little bow with some Riding Hood Red Striped Ribbon and tied some hemp twine around the middle and adhered it to the card with a mini glue dot.

Simple Baby Card

I made this baby card for my best friend who is expecting her first baby in July. Congrats Michelle! She doesn't know what she's having yet, so I wanted to make something gender friendly. The first colors that come to mind are yellow and green. The sentiment at the bottom is a little crooked, but I had some help from my 2 and 4 year old daughters on this card. I originally put a broader ribbon on the card, but it was really too bulky to mail, so I switched it out for the 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain.

The Best Job in the World

I was doing my morning checking of email and blogs and all sorts of fun stuff that I do every morning when I came across an article on yahoo titled "The Best Job In The World." Of course I had to read on. You can read it for yourself .

A lot of you don't know me, so you don't know that this would absolutely be the perfect job for me. Of course, aside from being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, which I love, and a mom to 3 and a wife. (those are just minor details :). I've had this wish since I was a little girl of travelling to Australia and cage diving with a great white shark. This dream vacation is actually on my bucket list of things I want to do before I die. I actually considered going to school to be a marine biologist, but after reading some of the brochures, realized that there's no way I could do that job, I have severe motion sickness and can't live for months on end on a boat. The condition also hampered my desire to be a flight attendant when I was 20. But with the job in Australia I wouldn't even have to leave the ground, except for the occasional snorkeling expedition. The pay's not too shabby either, $105,00 US. You get free room and board, have to blog about your time there and be on occasional interviews with the media, which would quelch my desire to be a news anchor, or an actress for that matter. This would be the perfect job, consuming ALL the things that I wanted to be when I grew up. But I just sit here, comfortable in my life and realize that I would miss my kids terribly for a year, unless they'd let me bring them!

Bella Rose and a Button

Here's another card done with Bella Rose DSP. I was a little skeptical about Stampin' Up!'s paper when I first became a demonstrator. I didn't think that 12 sheets was enough to do much with, but Oh My Goodness, I can't seem to use up this paper. Thank goodness I still like the paper. For this card, I wanted to really highlight the pretty roses on the paper, so I punched one out with the 1" circle punch and attached a clear button tied with some hemp twine on top. You can't really tell in the picture, but in person, the button acts as a magnifier to the paper. The picture really doesn't do it justice.

Coluzzle

One of the tools that I don't seem to reach for enough is the coluzzle. I made this card about 4 months ago and just found it on my computer. It's pretty plain, but I was really getting into my punches around then and came up with a BIG scallop circle using the coluzzle and the slit punch. The card still needs a little somethin', but for now it'll have to do. I cut a smaller circle out of the middle and then cut a larger circle around that one with the coluzzle. Then took my slit punch and punched all the way around. I punched the small holes with my crop-a-dile. I inked up the stamp using the Old Olive Stampin' Write marker and for the Riding Hood Red I used my blender pen and my RHR ink pad. If I remember correctly, I then punched out the stamped image with the 1 3/4" circle punch. I put dimensionals on the scallop circle and the stamped image, stamped the "so happy for you" and adhered it on the card. I think it could really use a background stamp for some dimension, and now that I know how to do the scallop circle, I'll be making more cards using it. Thanks for looking!

My First Challenge

I have decided that I really need to branch out in my creativity, and take a little help with matching colors and following sketches that are out there instead of coming up with everything on my own. I've decided that for my first go, I'm going to try out Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration. I decided this at 6:15 this evening, but hey, better late than never. I was finishing up my daughter's window treatments last night and the thread that I used for her treatment was so close that I used it to hand stitch on my card. If you get a chance you should really check out Kristina's blog. She posts videos on Mondays and Fridays. She's amazingly creative and fun to watch.

Fun with Rub-ons

I picked up this day planner at Target with the intention of using rubons on it. I wasn't really sure how the rubons would adhere to the surface, but it went on very easily. I've also stuffed the planner in my purse and the rubons are still there. Rubons are a fun way to add a little jazz to pretty much anything. My upline even put some on an electric guitar. The one on my planner is from the Holiday Happenings Bundle, Level 3 Hostess Set. The hardest thing for me is actually using them and not hoarding them.

Completely non-stamping related, but cool! I've been playing on wordle for a while, but decided that I'd upload one of my jumbles for you guys to see. These little cards are for my Christmas Card Class attendees. They're little 4x4 cards with matching envelopes. I still have to figure out how to put links in my posts and as soon as I do, I'll link the tutorial for making the little envelopes that these cards fit in. The only thing with the envelopes is that you can't mail them, but you can put the card in the little envelope and then inside a standard envelope and mail them that way, or just put the card in a regular envelope and mail it, but for hand-delivered cards, I like to make the little coordinating envelopes.

This is not the best picture of the envelopes, I'll have to take a better one next time I make this size card.

I made this little card holder for my hostess K'Cee. We did a Christmas card class on the 1st. The turnout was good and I had a great time. This was my first class/workshop since becoming a demonstrator last March.

The cards are 4x4 and I made little envelopes to go with them.

Here's a close-up of the card. I love how it turned out. I thought that the paper was a little blah so I sponged some Close to Cocoa ink on the card, card holder and envelopes.

My First Video Tutorial

I did this video back in October, but just now had the time to sit down and figure out my video editing software. There has since been a tutorial posted on SplitCoastStampers. I personally prefer my way, mainly because I sat down for like 3 hours to figure it out, but also because I don't like having to line up the paper upside down in the punch. My way allows you to utilize the guide on the front when punching the scallops, I think it's a little more exact. You can be the judge. Let me know what you think. And as I said in the video, I'm hoping to put up a new video tutorial every week. It might be a technique, a cool new tool or product, spotlight on a particular stamp set or if you want to see something, let me know and I'll do a video. I hope that this will be a good addition to the blog. I'd love your feedback. Thanks!

Star Punch Tree Pizza Box

This little box was so much fun to make. It's called a mini pizza box. I first saw this on another demos blog. The part I'm most excited about are the little trees on the front. I made these with our large star punch. I'm definitely going to be doing a tutorial for these, but for now just wanted to put it on here! I'll be back tomorrow with the tutorial.

More Bella Rose DSP. The enjoy image is from the Enjoy Every Moment stamp set. The strange thing is that when I stamped the image, it didn't completely fill in. When I picked up my paper, I realized there was something underneath the paper when I stamped it, which is no surprise, my stamping area is almost always cluttered with mulitple projects. I thought about tossing it, but I looked at it again and I kinda like the distressed look that it has. I cut around it and then layered it on Bella Rose DSP, which is layered on Riding Hood Red. I used the Large Tag punch to punch the end and then used the scallop edge punch to give it a little detail at the bottom. I punched a hole in the top with my crop-a-dile and threaded some Riding Hood Red 5/8" striped grosgrain ribbon and wrapped some hemp twine around the ribbon instead of tying it in a knot. Then I punched out some flowers with the trio flower punch and some little red centers with the 1/4" circle punch. You can't really tell in the picture, but I punched out the center of the letter "o" in enjoy so the paper could peek out from behind and then adhered one of the punched flowers in the center. If I made multiples of these, I would probably laminate them first so they will hold up, I'm afraid if I used this one, one of the flowers would get stuck to the pages in the book. This project was intended for a punch class I was hoping to have, but didn't generate enough interest. Bella Rose

It took me a little while to really like the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper. The colors and patterns are gorgeous, but I thought they were a little too dressy for my taste. Once I opened it up and started working with it, I did all sorts of projects. The card is 4 x 4 and I cut one of the roses out of the DSP. This is where Stampin' Up!'s paper snips come in handy. These little scissors are awesome. They have a very sharp tip that lets you get into all the nooks and crannies of whatever you're trying to cut out. They take the effort out of detail cutting.
The scallop square behind the flower was done with the scallop edge punch. I had some fun playing with the punch a couple of weeks ago and came up with nested scallop squares. I thought that I had come up with something ingenious, but lo and behold, it's already been done. The way I do it is different that the other ways I've seen it done, but the end result is the same. I shot a video demonstration and am trying to edit it, once that's done I'll have it up on the blog.

Scallop Punch Flower

Have you ever seen something in a catalog or in a store and thought "I can figure out how to make that"? Well, I did just that. On page 46 of the catalog there's a box with a really pretty flower made with the scallop circle punch. I've seen a few blogs where they did this technique, but I like to put my own spin on things. In the catalog the flower has six petals, but for me, doing things in even numbers is hard. I like odd numbers better! I punched out 3 scallop circles and cut them in half and then rolled them around and glued them together. I punched out a circle to attach the petals to from the underneath. I like the way it turned out, the picture doesn't really show the dimension of the flower, the center of the petals are red. I added a red button from the Designer Button Bouquet with some hemp twine in the center, tied some Kiwi Kiss 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and a scallop edge and voila!

Another Card Class Card

I'm in a non-traditional color mood this year. I know it's because of the great In Colors. I am absolutely in love with Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss. I use them on just about every project. This is another one of the cards that we'll be making at my Christmas Card Class in December. The colors will be altered to Glorious Green and Real Red. The white snowflakes on the bottom were stamped in versamark and embossed with White embossing powder. Little did the stampers at this class know that every card has embossing on it. I sent a bag with all of samples in it with the hostess and she and the attendees picked the ones they wanted to do. It's going to be interesting to see how many of them have ever stamped before, much less embossed. I'm going to have to show them some embossing 101 before we get started.

Christmas Card Class

So, I'm officially doing my first class. I'm so excited! It's going to be on December 1. We're doing 3 cards. This is one of them. It uses the Snow Swirled stamp set. I'll post the other 2 projects over the next couple of days. We're changing up the colors a bit for the class. The attendees wanted a more traditional color scheme, so we're going with Riding Hood Red and Glorious Green instead of the Kiwi Kiss. Either way, I think this is just an elegant looking card and very easy to make a bunch of them. The hardest thing about it is remembering to use the embossing buddy so that you don't get white specks of embossing powder where you don't want it. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to get the perfect positioning of the sentiment. I couldn't stamp without that little gadget.Stamps: Snow Swirled

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Today is Caroline's birthday, she the BIG 2! So in honor of her, here's a little mini book I made for her. I used Chocolate Chip cardstock and the One of a Kind stamp set and made my own patterned paper for her book. I also used the Boho Blossoms punch for the little flowers and popped them up with demonsionals. I then bound the book together with my Bind-It-All. The inside is still blank, but I'm taking the time today to finish it. I put as many pages on the inside as she has letters in her name and then I'm using each letter to describe something about her, no pictures, just words. I made a book for Ethan and Riley too, same idea for theirs, just different colors.

I made this card for my first potential hostess. I'll keep her name anonymous until I get permission to post from her. I used Pocket Silhouettes on Kiwi Kiss Cardstock with Bella Rose DSP for the frame. I made the frame with the scallop edge punch. A cool little trick I discovered. I'll post the tutorial after I get it filmed and uploaded. I used Kiwi Kiss, chocolate chip and versamark ink and some chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon. Have a great Tuesday!

I got a Lead!

I finally got a lead on my Demonstrator Business Website (DBWS). This is a huge deal for me. I get an average of 7-10 hits a day, but no leads. I got an email from a woman is interested in having a Christmas Card class. I met with her yesterday and it's scheduled for the end of November. I'm so excited. Not just that I'm teaching a class, but that there are definitely people in the area that have heard of Stampin' Up!

Frankie Box

Isn't he cute! I got this idea from another demonstrator, Angie Juda. The box is so easy to make, I made 2, one for each of Ethan's teachers. I would have preferred his hair and eyes to be black, but if you read one of my previous posts, you remember I ordered gray instead of black. Oh well! I used my silhouette cutter to cut the hair, it's actually a grass border, pretty neat huh, got that idea from Angie Juda too. I just love him!

Halloween Project-Card Holder

This is a Card Holder. I got the idea from the Workshop Wow DVD available for demonstrators. There are so many projects on that DVD that will be popping up on my blog soon. Isn't it just adorable!! As much as a Halloween Project can be adorable.
Here's closer up at the title, and the hat with the little spider on it that I handcut.
Here's the inside. I used too much bulk, I was only able to fit 2 cards. If I tone down my bumpiness I think that I could fit 3-6 cards in one card holder.
Here's the Basic Gray version of the card, excuse the angle, the only clean surface in my kitchen was a box with a piece of white cardstock layed on top. I've been a crafting maniac the last couple of days, but I'm using it to my full advantage, cuz who knows when my mojo will go on vacation again. Funny story about the basic gray cardstock, I honestly didn't realize I ordered it, I thought I ordered Basic Black. Oh well, another excuse to place an order here soon.

I finally got my mojo back. I've been stamping like crazy over the last 3 days. My poor kitchen is taking the brunt of the mess. I've got stuff everywhere. For some reason I can't just keep to one project. While I'm doing a project I get another idea and if I don't put it on paper right then, I might as well just throw it out the window. I like to work in organized chaos, I thrive that way. Let's just say that I have no excuse not to post a card for the next 2 weeks, I think I finished 10 cards in the last 2 days. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but they're all original designs, that takes time to come up with, and I'm trying to figure out a nice, but easy Christmas card so I can get started on those. Well, anyway, enjoy the cards over the next posts.

I've been given the ok to post videos on my blog and YouTube. WooHoo! You'll think I'm sitting right beside you helping you with your project. I have to figure out how to rig my video camera to the right angle, but I'm hoping to post a video by the end of the week. Here's hoping it works.

I can't remember if this is Only Orange or Pumpkin Pie, but either way, I LOVE ORANGE! I used the orange from Tart & Tangy for the card and Wow Flowers for the gift card. I know that my wheeling on the cards is not straight, but I think it adds to the homemade look.

I am so in love with the new In Colors. I've used these main three, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and Pink Pirouette for a lot of projects already. It's a good thing they're good for a year. I used the Curly Label punch bundle for the sentiment. Other punches are the trio flower 1/4 inch circl and the scallop edge punch. I tied it of with some Kiwi Kiss striped ribbon and TADA, a simple thank you card.

Here's a little mini book I did for Peyton to put on his desk at work. It's very simple, but I didn't want it too elaborate for Peyton's desk. The 4x4 coasters are perfect for mini pages with wallet size pictures.

Birthday Reminder Book

I created a little book to help keep me on track for sending out birthday cards. I found the month template on Splitcoaststampers.com under tutorials and then just made my little book from that. I used the backer board from the Designer Series Paper for a little more stability and then covered it in paper, bound it with my bind-it-all and added a Kiwi Kiss scallop circle, some Flower Fusion Too felt flowers and some Pink Pirouette striped ribbon and now I have a cute little reminder. If you want your name in my little book, let me know when your birthday is ;)

Itty Bitty Mini Album/Card

Here's a little book that I came up with because I had an odd sized piece of Kiwi Kiss cardstock leftover from another project. I used the scallop edge punch and put a piece of Riding Hood Red cardstock for the center page. The front is Bella Rose DSP and Riding Hood Red striped ribbon. I think it needs something else on the front, but I love how it turned out.

Baby girl

I personally don't know anyone having a baby girl, but I love the brown paper with the little pink polka dots and it just turned into a baby girl card. I'm going to make one in blue and brown too.

All products Stampin' Up! Pink pirouette cardstock and ink, chocolate chip ink and 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, whisper white cardstock, DSP (designer series paper) from the level 3 holiday happenings bundle, I used the coluzzle to cut the layered circles.

So I was right in the middle of uploading the pictures for the previous post and blogger pooped out on me and then my whole internet went down. Very frustrating!! Hopefully it will work this time.

Here's a shot of everything.

A card.

My first attempt at a bag-a-lope. I'm pretty impressed with myself.

A post-it note holder (idea from Angie Juda, another SU! demo). I used my bind-it-all. I also included a couple of pictures of Susan's kids on the inside and covered a chipboard butterfly and put it by their pictures.

Pop-top fruit can. I got the idea from my upline Jenay, I'm not sure where she got the idea from, but it's such a neat gift. I used my Pampered Chef can opener, and after giving Caroline the fruit and cleaning the can, I filled it with crumpled paper and some of the Flower Fusion Too felt flowers. My kids are going to be eating a lot of fruit now. I can't wait to make more of these.

I couldn't resist decorating the top, it looked a little blah.

Giant paper clip bookmark. I got the paperclips from Staples, actually Peyton found them for me, he's such a great guy to "support" my habit, I mean hobby.

Sour Cream container. I first saw the idea on Dawn Griffith's blog.

All the projects use the Holiday Happenings Level 3 Hostess paper and Seasonal Icons stamp (flower) from the same set. Colors are Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip. I used the scallop circle, 1 3/8" circle, 1 1/4" circle, 1" circle, 1/2" circle, word window, trio flower, and scallop border punches. I also used Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss 5/8" striped grosgrain ribbon and I also used Whisper White 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon that I dyed with the pink pirouette and baja breeze stamp pads (my first time dying ribbon, it's a little darker than I would have liked, but I think it looks nice.) Misc. I used the paper piercer, mat pack, crop-a-dile, paper crimper and dimensionals.
I would love to make these little goodies into a kit, we'll have to see. If you're interested please let me know.

Here goes to keeping myself on the crafty track. I wanted to start a blog specifically for my crafty side. There are so many stamping and scrapping blogs out there that are a huge inspiration for me, and now that I'm a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator I want customers and friends to be able to see what I'm up to and maybe draw some inspiration from me. I'm going to try my hardest to post several projects every week. This first upload of pictures are a "secret goody" package I'm sending to my cousin's wife in MS. She's possibly interested in becoming a demo, so I wanted her to see some of the cool and cute stuff that can be done with our products. Most of these ideas are not originally mine, but the designs are. Enjoy!
